"Baking has been my passion since I was 16, but back then, sourcing ingredients in my small town was a challenge. With no formal training, I learned through trial and error, experimenting and perfecting my craft over the years. However, I never considered turning my passion into a business, until one late night changed everything.
At 2 AM, my son asked for coffee, and I refused, saying it wasn’t my time to work. Minutes later, my daughter craved a brownie, and without hesitation, I started baking. Watching me, they said, “This is your calling.” That moment sparked the idea for Oven Mysteries.
Starting the business wasn’t easy. While baking was second nature to me, selling was a whole new challenge. Having been out of the corporate world for years, even using a laptop felt unfamiliar. But I pushed myself to learn - understanding customer service, marketing, and business management. The turning point came when people loved my products and kept coming back. Today, nearly 40% of my customers are repeat buyers, and my preservative-free, freshly baked goodies have found a loyal audience.
My dream is to own a café where everything is made in-house, from bread to desserts. I had started one before, but the partnership didn’t work out. Instead of seeing it as a failure, I took it as hands-on training in café management. Now, I’m more determined than ever to create a space that serves fresh, homemade goodness, one that’s here to stay."
